What this service is

Memindex is a company-memory service operated by Digital Boutique AI. This deployment is a public demonstration instance: it holds an invented corpus created for the demo, not any customer’s data, and anyone with the link may query it.

What it ingests

Memindex reads company systems on a schedule so nobody has to file anything manually:

  • Slack — threads from channels the bot has been explicitly invited to. It cannot read channels it is not a member of, and it does not read direct messages.
  • Email — threads from the connected company mailbox. A classification step filters out newsletters, marketing and automated notifications before anything is stored.
  • GitHub — source code, issues and pull request discussions from company repositories.

Because these systems carry messages from people outside the company — clients, suppliers, correspondents — their names, addresses and message content may be stored as part of a thread.

What is stored

For each thread: a summarised version, excerpts of the original text, a link back to the source, and a numeric vector used for search. The service also records each question a user asks, the answer returned, the evidence cited, and the time — so people can revisit their own past answers.

Where it goes

Content is stored in a managed Postgres database. Two processors see content in transit: Anthropic, which summarises threads and writes answers, and Voyage AI, which produces the search vectors. Both are used through their commercial APIs under those providers’ terms. No advertising or analytics trackers are used on this site.

Cookies

Only functional cookies: one to keep you signed in, one holding an identifier that ties saved questions to you, and a light/dark theme preference. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Retention and removal

Entries persist until the underlying source is deleted or the record is removed on request. If a message, thread or email should not be in the knowledge base, it can be deleted from it — ask the team and it will be removed from the index.
